Young men will have visions and old men will dream dreams... What happens when you have a revelation start in a bible study only to become even deeper in a dream? While I do not declare this dogma, it is something to contemplate. During my bible study the Holy Spirit revealed God's nature can be found in everything in creation. The rocks, movies, books, people, even the worldly things around us. God not only knows the count of the hairs on our heads, but each atom that makes it up. From the smallest thought, to the furthest star in the Universe. The smallest most insignificant thing to the macro world around us. The thoughts of our minds, and the actions we do in private. The history of Adam to the end of all things. Grace and the Holy Spirit are in all things.
There is no need of Sun and Moon in Heaven, because God is the light that fills all things. What is that glory we see as light, that comes from His very essence? It is Love, joy, compassion, hope and most of all truth. It is the very nature of God Himself. He cannot change it without altering the Universe, which He will not do. We as man are fickle minded and God is constant and dependable. The Glory and the Grace that spreads into all creation and beyond, is His will to nurture and create which is ongoing forever. We see it as a light, but it is so much more. When we sinned, we cut ourselves off from that light. Now we fear God instead of love Him as we should. We fall on our faces not so much out of fear, but from the awesome nature we cannot fathom. We run from God because that light exposes truths we would rather not face. We run and hide in the deepest darkest hole we can find. We hide from ourselves.
All day long God holds out His hands to us, waiting for us to rush into His arms. Yet sin holds us prisoner, a guilt that destroys, a guilt that binds us to Hell. So God, in His great mercy, provides us a way to remain with Him. He sent Jesus to heal the sin, to allow us to find mercy and forgiveness. To cover the sins from the revealing light that is His very nature. To allow us to exist with Him in Heaven for eternity. God cannot put out His light without creation coming apart. He is forever creating as other things crumble into nothingness. To shut off that light would end all things. It is His love for His creation that keeps it alive. He cannot change His very nature without destroying what He loves.
People ask: Why does God allow bad things to happen? Earthquakes, wars, famines, pestilence, and even death? It is part of a world the renews itself with birth out of decay and renews millions of souls where the Earth could never sustain us all at once. He makes it possible to refresh the world and make it beautiful. We question what we do not understand and blame Him for the very things that sustain us and give us freewill. God gave us choice, and to have choice you must have choices. He wants us to choose Him freely, by accepting His Son, and receiving that freewill gift of Loving Him back.
